I'm back
The fact that your reading this means that you already know it, I've started blogging again. After the demise of my Fenrir1 server, I didn't feel up to the challenge of starting over again. All the data on it was lost, including the source code of my Nanoblog blogging engine. As I don't like using other people's work, I just stopped blogging all together. Until recently. As the readers of the old nanoblog will remember, I am a fan of turn based strategy games and have tried and tried again to write my own game. I never wrote anything worth mentioning but I enjoyed writing meaningless pieces of code. Recently I've been brainstorming with a couple of people from my class during the more boring lessons, and I've decided to give it another try. My aim is hopelessly high but I've decided not to rush things and try not to settle for less. So what does this have to do with me blogging? Well, recently I've started using ruby, and as most other developers, I love it. I wanted to write the game in ruby, but I needed experience with both ruby and it's CGI interface. What you see here is the result. I was pleased with it and decided to use it for my own blog-revival. So what have I been up to lately? Nothing much, same as always. I've fallen out of love with Java and in love with ruby. I don't like C++ anymore and now prefer C. I've written little code except for a few school projects. I have to many ideas for projects and a limited amount of spare time on my hands. No changes there.
